"Kid! I'm sorry!" Crona cried rushing through the large mahogany doors with Death The Kid right behind her. "What are you sorry for?" He asked her trying to comfort her as she started to cry more. "For everything! I'm a failure! A freak! Why don't you hate me like everyone else does?" She sat on the large black leather couch covering her face, soaking her hands with tears. Kid looked at his pink haired friend in shock. How could she say that? Just because she doesn't think people like her doesn't mean she should beat herself up about it and apologize to me...
Kid sat next to her, wrapping his arms around her waist pulling her into a tight hug. "Don't say that. Ever." He whispered as Crona turned her face into his chest, crying even louder. "I can't deal with this anymore! Everything I do, I keep getting you hurt!" she choked out between sobs grabbing onto Kid's shirt. "I don't want to lose you!"
"That will never happen. I will never leave you, Crona. I promise." he said rubbing her back gently as her sobs got quieter. She leaned back looking at Kid's golden irises with tear-filled eyes as they stared back at her.
"D-do you mean it?" the pinkette said sniffling, not believing what she was hearing. "Of course I do." he replied, using the response as an advantage as he quickly closed the gap between their lips and kissed her. She jumped at the sudden contact. Kid pulled away from the blushing girl, embracing her once again then whispered in her ear, "I love you, Crona."
